Is the trend for nudes over-exposed – or do you want to see more?

Pay homage to the human form with our curation of rude nudes

The nude and naked forms interiors trend is making no sign of backing down. If anything, homeware is getting even more daring with seductive stationery, naughty napkins and some very provocative plates.

Artists have been taking inspiration from the human form for millennia, and once again ceramics, paintings and decorations are putting our birthday suit in the spotlight. Not only that, but artists are really pushing the boundaries, with some recent collections (ahem, we’re looking at you Gavin Houghton) definitely NSFW.

Here is a curation of highlights, grouped into four categories: decorative bits, kitchen bits, for the walls, and stationery.

Decorative bits

Whether you're looking for a bud vase or something to hold a more elaborate bouquet, showcase your flowers in a delicately sexy hand-painted vase like our pick below.

Fabrics featuring nudes can be a less attention-grabbing way of featuring the human form. We love Louise Bourgoin’s collection for Pierre Frey is full of playful nudes, while Luke Edward Hall has teamed up with Venetian textile powerhouse Rubelli for a collection of 13 new fabrics, including this flirty ‘Rose Garden’ pattern (£113 a metre). Anissa Kermiche’s cult following includes the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Lily James and Gigi Hadid, despite having created her brand just a handful of years ago. Her designs honour the female form, but they also have a certain wit about them, too. We love these leggy candlesticks in punchy colours.

Gavin Houghton is known for raising an eyebrow or two with his outrageous ceramics. While his more shocking ones have already sold out online (though there are still a few in the Charleston shop itself), the below is a tamer selection safe for decorating your walls.

Add some sensuality to your table with these understated and elegant linen napkins, featuring line drawings of the female form.

Liv & Dom are back here with more of their Matisse-esque nudes. These bottle stoppers and soap dishes add a frisson of naughtiness as you go about your kitchen business.

For the walls

Louis Barthélemy’s tile designs for Balineum follow an Egyptomania theme. Together, the whimsical figures in Louis’ range combine for a playful design scheme.

Tits on tiles – nice as a coaster, but even better in a bathroom, as part of a kitchen splashback or even displayed on a blank wall.

To coincide with their new exhibition, Very Private? Charleston have released a limited edition run of Duncan Grant prints. For an all encompassing option, the artist Kate Hawkins has a lovely range of Bloomsbury-inspired wallpapers.

Speaking of walls, we adore the playful, loose silhouettes in these prints. I actually managed to snap up the original watercolour of the latter design during Susannah Garrod’s archive sale (it controversially hangs in my son’s bedroom) – keep an eye on her website and Instagram for future sales. Partnership Editions also do a great line in nudes; Alexandria Coe’s abstract nudes are rather stylish, and Pollyanna Johnson’s cheeky ‘Nice Tits’ is a fun way to reference the idea.

I fell in love with this Pierre Frey wallpaper the minute I spotted it, but I couldn’t afford to wallpaper a whole room in my home with it (nor would my husband let me). Instead, I managed to get my hands on a one-metre sample which hangs framed above my bed.

The other wallpaper is Coven by Maison C, and it’s so beautifully ethereal. It’s perfect for bedrooms, dressing rooms and downstairs loos. We love this pale pink hue, but you can also get Coven in midnight blue, mahogany, cielo, apricot and forest.

Sending nudes? Wrap them accordingly with this nudes sheet wrap. Alternatively, they make a clever and budget-friendly print worth framing as an affordable wall decoration.

These vibrantly colourful notecards are ‘hand-embellished with natural wool fluff.’ Ahem.
